The Stewardship Committee supports the worship, mission and ministry of the Church by seeking tangible support of the membership’s charitable gifts of every kind. These gifts are a key part of the role each member has in advancing the Kingdom of God on Earth through tithes and offerings; as well as the gifts of their spirit.
The Committee’s principal activity is the conduct of the Church’s traditional fall campaign to secure pledges for The Covenant Fund in the coming year. The committee meets monthly, year-round, to plan the goals, objectives and communications activities of the campaign for the final quarter of the year.
In addition, the Committee collaborates with the Session, Deacons, and committees to help secure gifts for other purposes, as needs arise.
The Stewardship Committee and Finance Committee actively cooperate in reports of budget and giving progress to recognize and encourage pledge progress and charitable gifts throughout the year.
The Stewardship Committee is chaired by a member of the Session and a Second Elder serves on the committee. For a list of the members of the Stewardship Committee click here.
Anyone who has questions or who might be interested in the work of the committee is invited to contact the Chair, Gordon Core, or any other member of the committee.
